Marcello H. Carnevali
Marcello H. Carnevali was born in Rome, Italy in 1977. Since an early age, Marcello had a passion for animation. In Italy the only animated children’s TV shows broadcast at that time, on one of the only three channels of Television to choose from, were adult oriented and poorly dubbed Japanese Manga series. While toddlers in the US were growing up with the Flintstones and Bugs Bunny, Marcello cut his cartoon teeth on the likes of Star Blazers (a.k.a Space Battleship Yamato), Tekkaman, Goldrake (a.k.a. Grendizer), Captain Harlock, Gaiking, Galaxy Express and many more that he’s too old to remember now. In the early 80s, Marcello and his family immigrated to the US and settled into the small town of Woodstock in upstate Ne w York. Growing up, Marcello never lost his love for animation and quickly discovered the joy of comics. Since that time, Marcello has been an avid collector and comic enthusiast. Marcello moved to Long Island in the mid-90s to attend university, studying Film and Television production. During his studies Marcello discovered another passion, writing. What began as simply a course in Creative Writing for an elective credit, quickly turned into a full blown pursuit. Marcello began writing non-stop and not long after that, began having his short plays read and performed by groups on campus. At the same time, Marcello also began writing scripts and short stories for himself and classmates to be used for Film Projects and Film Thesis’s. Marcello also produced the legendary WRHU Aggressive Edge radio program that was, at the time, one of the very few Long Island radio shows to feature Metal, Hardcore and underground music. It was also when Marcello was at school that he optioned his first full length screenplay to a major production company. Still not satisfied, and inspired by the comic book hero’s he grew up reading, Marcello decided to enter the world of Professional Wrestling. After being introduced to the sport by mutual friends, Marcello joined the infamous LIWF Doghouse in Ozone Park, NY. It was there, and also through a mutual friend, that Marcello met a new and up and coming wrestler by the name of William Kucmierowski soon to be known to the world as Brimstone. The two were instant best buddies and would remain so to this day. Over almost a decade, Marcello would wrestle and manage for various wrestling federations all over the continent. Even appearing on programs for the WWF (now WWE), ECW and WCW. But the fun was soon over as Marcello suffered a severe injury which forced him to retire from the sport. Marcello then refocused his talents and began working again in the field of Television and Film working behind the scenes all over the NY, NJ area on TV shows such as Law & Order, NYPD Blue and various Commercials, Independent films and Music Videos. Through all of this, Marcello never lost his passion for comics and soon realized another dream, to write his own comic book. Today, Marcello lives in Port Washington, NY with his fiancée and continues to write and develop stories and projects.
